News updates, politics, local vs federal policies, face masks, no face masks, racial climate, and “facts” everywhere. During this time in your business, there is news and information coming at you constantly from all sides. What does this mean for you and your business? How do you keep all clients/customers safe and feeling comfortable while providing them with the products or services of your business?

Pinno is here to help you address and navigate the new “normal”. First things first… check all local government mandates in your area. Are masks required for you? Or for you and your customers. If so, you’ll definitely want to provide potential customers with a mask. It’s an added cost that will truly pay off in the end; keeping you, your employees and customers safe to come back and visit for your product and/or services. Also, think of ways you can keep physical distancing to a minimum. While this may be the opposite of your business motto; remember, no contact is good contact.
Second. If you haven’t already, get online quick, fast and in a hurry. Pinno has long been an advocate of thinking that if you’re not online, you don’t exist. The time is now. There is much confusion about businesses these days. What is open, what is closed, operating hours, updates based upon what you can pay for staff and still generate revenue. The answer is simple limited contact, ease of use and convenience around your product or service. It is crucial that you determine what your hours are and should be based upon the parameters of your budget and local guidelines. Once you determine what it takes to manage your back end (cost of goods, deliveries, and what hours with staff/employees) makes since, it is time to get started.
Third. You want to take every precaution to make your customers feel safe in your business environment. If that means going the extra mile ensuring no one is and/or feels excluded, do it! This is a small price to pay to ensure your bottom line at the end of 2020. Masks, hand sanitizer, gloves and a temperature head scanner should all be at your location. These precautions ensure you, your staff and customers are safe and also shows that your business cares about them and their families. Make sure to include what you are doing. If you are hand wiping a door handle after each customer or sanitizing counters after each customer in a physical space or providing virtual services instead of meeting in person, let the world know on your website. This will make potential clients feel much more comfortable when they come to visit your location.

Fourth. Now we can market! Given all the precautions you have taken, research you’ve done for your business, employees and customers; it is now time to share that information. Determine your campaign message, ensure you are informing customers of the precautions you are taking, tell them about the product or service protection handling you have put in place and talk about the results. Whether it’s improved quality, public health precautions or new products, determine the tactics and avenues in which you plan to communicate this information. Remember, no difference is too small at this point. More than ever, the public is willing and open to change within your business. So let’s get started.
